Radio Frequency Identification is a set of wireless technologies using radio waves to transmit information between a silicon chip and a reader.

Our Mission

Improve the productivity of our customers' assets, equipment and people with RFID solutions.

Our Focus

  • Provide a complete business solution using RFID technologies as productivity tools.

  • Establish and achieve structured and documented project goals:
          - Productivity gains and ROI
          - Implementation schedule
          - Budget

  • Optimize our customers’ process, people and profits to drive the RFID solution; not the reverse.

Our President

Robert B. Steinberg has been integrating systems, managing large projects, deploying new technologies and leading start ups throughout his professional life. He has deep experience with both continuous process manufacturing and job shop/project-based construction and assembly. This gives him a unique understanding of RFID’s value across multiple industries and the know-how to lead successful RFID process deployments and design valuable RFID-enabled products.

Prior to founding Productivity by RFID, Rob spent nine years leading multiple growth initiatives at Fortune 500, $5 billion Avery Dennison. Rob became involved with RFID while leading the marketing effort of a multi-division team assessing needs for inventory tracking, anti-diversion, anti-theft, homeland security, brand protection and rebate fraud. He also founded and led a new division to develop, manufacture and sell thin, printed, electronic display systems. His division was showcased to Wall Street on two occasions. Rob holds a patent in electrochromic display systems for retail applications.

Rob has two engineering degrees and an MBA from M.I.T.
